Vrboska, Hvar Vrboska, the smallest island town on sunny Hvar, is remarkable for its geographical location hidden in the depths of the bay, untouched dense pine forests, cultural landmarks with features of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque style, and architecture laced with winding streets. Vrboska has a beautiful islet in the middle of the bay, connected by bridges that make it called "Little Venice". The place was inhabited in ancient times, became a fishing village and developed into a beautiful town. Particularly charming is the typical Mediterranean folk architecture, dignified old town houses with features of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque, the sacred spirit of ancient church buildings, as well as luxurious modern villas. One of the sights that Vrboska can stand on is the Fishermen's Museum. The museum's collection includes all the traditional fishing gear such as nets of all kinds, tools and scraps of equipment from the former fish processing plant. There is also a reconstructed old fisherman's house that leaves a striking picture of the difficult life of the former inhabitants of Vrboska, ancient fishermen and heavyweights.Vrboska is famous for its beautiful pebble and sand beaches, fresh air, crystal blue sea, untouched nature. There is also Zechevo, the island for nudists. Near the beaches are apartments, family pensions, restaurants, campsites with shops, buffets and the like. The rich fishing tradition of Vrboska is reflected in the local gastronomic offer. Healthy food from the surrounding fields and fresh, freshly caught fish - with homemade olive oil and aromatic spices - will give each guest a unique gourmet experience that, with the time of one of the famous Hvar wines, will be just perfect. In addition to accommodation in private guesthouses, there is the Adriatic Hotel with a plaza and numerous sports facilities, the Nudist Campsite with a nudist plaza and a host of other facilities, and the ACI Marina Vrboska open to boaters throughout the year.
